Long description

Knife [.1] with s-shaped blade and leather sheath [.2] attached to a leather belt [.3] decorated with stamped geometric designs. The knife blade is initially straight, it curves backwards approximately 65 mm from the handle. The tip then curves forwards again. The hilt is made of wood and is flared at both ends. The flared ends of the butt have been broken off and are missing. The sheath is made from two pieces of leather, stitched together around the tip. It is shaped like the knife and both sides are open, to allow the knife to be removed. It is decorated on the front with a stamped geometric design and is tied to the belt with a leather thong. The belt is decorated along its length with stamped geometric designs. It has an iron buckle at one end, near the sheath. There is one large perforation in front of the buckle and three small ones along its length at the top of the belt. [SM 18/06/2007]
