Fighting-ring. Ring for wearing on finger with broad sharp blade and edge-protector of hide. The ring is made from one piece of iron. The ring is formed by bending a length of iron into a circular shape. The hide edge protector has a loop at one end, possibly for attaching to a belt etc. [SM 23/04/2007]
