- Long description
- Red ware pottery vessel with a rounded body, flat base and a stirrup handle with a projecting spout. From the shoulder up is a darker red pigment with a black painted decoration on the upper half consisting of a crab and a bird. The surface here is slightly raised too. Partial glazing to the surface. Two ornamental projections on the shoulder. Previously broken and repaired. [ASh [OPS move] 15/03/2016]
