The brother of RG Woodthorpe, J. Dalton Woodthorpe, lived in Cheltenham, and was a family friend of the Wilsons. See RDF for J. Dalton Woodthorpe's 1916 donation of artefacts which mentions Ida Wilson. It is likely therefore that they acquired the collection of drawings from him. [CM 23/05/2011]

1923.84.587.3Piston from double cylinder bellows. It consists of a length of bamboo with a carved wooden cone shape at one end. A number of feathers have been attached to this with cane strips, which have been threaded/stitched through holes in the wooden cone.
