The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2010-13 as: “Kiyomizu-dera Kanzenon, G-shugo”, Protection from Kannon at Kiyomizu temple. (Reverse) two Sanskrit symbols [MJD 21/01/2013]
