Panel depicting a scene of steatite carvings set onto a painted silk landscape. Four carved and painted figures are depicted, possibly representing a scholar, a monk and two maids, with a carved and painted stork, house and tree appearing in the background. Further carvings have been removed. The panel is one of two removable panels from diptych [1886.1.76.1]. For the other panel see [1886.1.76.3].
