Pewter teapot with four legs, a handle and a hinged lid. The teapot legs, handle and spout appear to have been cast. The lid handle is decoratively shaped in the form of four leaves and a fruit. [SM (Verve) 03/11/2014]

Research and responses

R. Broadhead & Company, Sheffield (as stamped on tea base of this teapot) was apparently the mark used 1853 to circa 1859. From circa 1859 to 1900 the R was dropped and the mark then read 'Broadhead & Company over Sheffield'.
