Research and responses

Probably of type known in AM as sempei, and from Ouh, Saparua, see Ellen and Glover 1974, Pottery manufacture and trade in the central Moluccas, Man 9 (3), 353-79; used by Nuaulu for making sago porridge; note evidence of resin (kamane, AM dammar) and rattan being used to mend broken pot'.
