Rectangular shaped hide shield with sloping sides. Along the upper edge of the shield there are a series of perforations through with dyed ?Goat hair is threaded decoratively. On the reverse of the shield there is a woven cane work handle attached to the body of the shield with loops of cane threaded through the surface. On the front of the shield underneath the cane loops securing the cane handle there is a section of bone which has partially broken slotted through. [CW [OPS move] 23/8/2016]
