Description
Fabric case containing three flower arranging tools (2024.22.81.2-6).
Long description
Cotton fabric case with decorative printed and handpainted design. The case is rectangular with a stiffened cardboard inner, covered with cotton fabric. The cotton fabric is secured by black stitching and possibly glue. The four sides of the case fold out, lying flat. The interior has four elastic ribbon ties and one string tie holding flower arranging tools (2024.22.81.2-6) in place. The upper flap has a black thread and the front of the case has a divet, indicating a fastening was once present. The case is a natural light brown colour with a printed lines, stylised Japanese characters and hand painted patterns. The interior of the case has printed design of criss-crossing black and red lines.
