See RDF for a copy of a letter sent by Henry Balfour to the Egypt Exploration Fund thanking them for the donation of objects from Petrie's excavation in 1902-03: "The specimens are of considerable interest to me, & will find suitable positions in the Museum series. I am particularly interested in the ape figures & the natural flints found with them... again with many thanks for the interesting accessions to my series." [AS 18/07/2012]
