Description
Small decorative envelope (Pochibukuro). This envelope (2024.22.43.4) is one of a set of five envelopes (2024.22.43.2-6) contained within a larger envelope (2024.22.43.1).
Long description
Rectangular paper envelope with printed decorative design of a yellow-faced mask on a blue background. Possibly represents Hyottoko, a comical Japanese character with a puckered mouth, skewed to one side. The reverse of the envelope is a natural colour.
