Description
Circular ashtray made from the base of an artillery shell.
Long description
Circular ashtray made from the base of an artillery shell. The shell is a British '18 pounder' shell. The date of manufacture for the shell is given as 1916 on the base of the ashtray. Also on the base there are several other numbers and lettters inscribed. The ashtray has been highly polished. [MdeA 11/1/2000]
