Description
Mask; Afro Covid
Long description
Mask titled 'Afro Covid'. The mask consists of a goat skull which has been painted red, the eyes filled in and painted with a white and orange gradient. Beneath the skull is a section of animal skin to cover the face, with holes cut out for the eyes and mouth. Long hair, made from horsehair, has been sewn to this section. Cloth fabric is attached to the back of the mask. Panels of wood have also been sewn to either side, painted with a gradient from red to blue to yellow, and are decorated with thread, pom-poms, and yarn. The mask has been varnished.
