Japanese bow of compound construction. Made from wood which has been covered with a black ?paint. Three sections of the bow are bound with strips of reed, towards the middle and at each end. The tips of the bow have been notched, onto which is tied the bowstring, which is made from twisted plant fibre covered with a black ?resin. [SB [OPS Move] 17/7/2017]
