Description
Ladle made from a recycled cylindrical cucumber? tin. [EC 'DCF 2004-2006 What's Upstairs?' 7/3/2006]
Long description
The main body of the vessel has a round flat base and straight sides. Around the mouth of the ladle there is a thin lip. A long thin strip of metal has been nailed to one side of the ladle. This forms a handle for the ladle. The handle is turned over at the end to enable the whole ladle to be hung up. The outside of the ladle shows the original information and designs printed on the can. The can has a lot of ?Japanese text printed on to it and the word 'Thailand'.[MdeA 9/12/99]

Research and responses

Note, the writing on the tin is Chinese, not Japanese, and the dialing code for the company is Hong Kong, so it is likely that the tin was manufactured in Hong Kong. [EC 'DCF 2004-2006 What's Upstairs?' 14/3/2006]
