- Battle axe with short, wide steel blade and wooden haft. The haft has a steel or iron spike at the tip. The axe blade has a convex cutting edge that tapers to two points and an eye-hafted socket. A piece of ?cast brass is attached below the spike and at the butt. Both are faceted and the section near the spike is decorated with cast or incised lines and semi-circle patterns. [SM 23/07/2007]
