Long description
Description taken from Conservation Card by Robert Pearce 18/06/2002 - [Referring to treatment on .1] Bronze mirror [.1] with stand in form of kylin (dragon) [.2] with wooden stand [.3]. Cast Cu alloy mirror stand in the form of a kylin. Horse's body, dragon's head scaly skin all over. Mirror in centre of a kylin's back, on a curved piece of Cu alloy. The back of the mirror rests against a 'plaque' fixed to the back of the animal (behind curved Cu alloy piece) while the front of the mirror is prevented from slipping forward by another similar plaque fixed in situ.
