Long description
Palm leaf fan for fanning fire as well as the person. The fan is woven into a series of concentric rings with a zig-zagged weave pattern. At the centre of the fan the concentric woven rings meet with a vertical woven line. The handle is formed from the overlapping ends of palm leaf used to weave the fan. These ends have been bound with plant fibre, which has been knotted into place. [LKG 28/08/2009]
