- Single-edged dao, copper wire binding on haft, red dyed hair ornamentation, blade stamped '...Made in England'. The dao has a triangular shaped blade with a curved edge. The blade is stamped with "YATES & Co (insignia) MADE IN ENGLAND" The handle is bound towards the blade with woven copper wire, there is also a thin band of woven copper wire at the butt. The hair is attached in tufts into holes in the end of the handle. [SM 05/07/2007]
