Research and responses

The photograph was reproduced as a carte-de-visite: http://www.luminous-lint.com/app/image/005592493294880247235716/ According to Michel Megnin it was taken by the photographic duo Alary & Geiser, composed of Jean-Baptiste Antoine Alary and the Geiser family, most probably Mme Julie Geiser and later her three sons (Alary & Geiser, 'Portrait of a Black boy', circa 1860-1865).
