Long description
Wooden food dish with four legs and twisted fibre cord tied around tied around the handle. Oval bowl with point at one end. The other end extends into a flat handle with a diamond or lozenge shape directly next to the bowl which finishes as a narrow rectangle and a down turned end. There are four cylindrical feet. It appears to have been carved from a single piece of wood. [MOBB [OPS move] 26/8/2016]

Examined on the 12th/13th June by Fergus Clunie and Andy Mills as part of the work of the AHRC-funded project 'Fijian Art: Political Power, Sacred Value, Social Transformation and Collecting Since the 18th Century' (2011-2014).
