Description by Marcia Anderson, Chief Curator, Minnesota Historical Society, at 1999 visit: [This information applies to 1939.6.28, 1939.6.29, 1939.6.30 ] Loomed beaded bands. Original description as 'three bead chains' is incorrect. All in good to excellent condition. These strips were usually made either as decorative hangings or belts. All three purchased for $5.75. On 1939.6.30 the pattern is of chevrons going in two directions pointing away from the centre of the belt towards the ends. The chevrons are in repeated colours of pink, green, silver (looks like silvered glass intended to mimic cut steel beads), purple and light blue. All beads apart from the blue and silver beads are transparent. Uses small and larger seed beads. The ends are finished in soft leather tabs. [MdeA 8/3/2000]
