Dr Michael O'Hanlon suggests that this is a forehead ornament. [JN 5/9/2000]
The acquisition record says that the objects were collected between 1981 - 1985, the original letter from the donor [dated 2.10.1996] says 1981 - 1986. 'Kwaplawm' is given on the acquisition form and is difficult to read, it might be that it is misspelt. [AP 25/2/99]
