Long description
Spear head, sawn off from the shaft. (For the associated shaft see 1886.1.1393.2). The wooden spear head tapers to a point. For much of the length, a series of bone barbs are held in place by plant fibre binding coated in red and white pigment. Beneath this is a section of anthropomorphic carving, filled in with white pigment, and some yellow cane binding.
