- Part of an anklung, a musical instrument consisting of hollow bamboo tubes suspended in a frame and rattled to provide musical accompaniment for dances etc
- Long description
- Set of three bamboo tubes, mounted on a rectangular bamboo frame which is secured with plant fibre. One of the large tubes has '12 f sharp' written on it in pencil, whilst the other two tubes have '24' written on them. There is a white printed label with '24' on it in black ink at the end of one of the tubes. Part of an anklung, a musical instrument consisting of hollow bamboo tubes suspended in a frame and rattled to provide musical accompaniment for dances etc., although pieces may be played individually. This is complete, and consists of 28 sets of bamboo tubes. [CW 3 3 98]
