1898.50.1.7Gauntlet [tekko], part of Samurai armour set. It consist of a padded green textile sleeve, covered by chain mail, with three vertical fluted plates on the lower arm. The thumb and knuckle sections are made of metal plates. With a single raised flower design on the fist area. The lining is made of animal hide and the sleeve is fastened with a mottled ?silk yarn.
