Description
Pastoral implement of clarinet type.
Long description
Pastoral implement of rude clarinet type, of curved goat's horn, cut off square and serrated lower end. Upper aperture diagonal with vibrating tongue of wood (damaged) fixed with iron wire running diagonally round horn in a groove. 3 Large finger stops. Horn engraved with several sets of initials, MMD., etc. and a longer inscription with the date 1876. Used by herdsmen and women in the mountains.
