Long description
Cylindrical drum [.1] of wood with a membrane stretched over both ends, one of agouti skin the other of howler monkey skin, both of which retain a significant amount of hair. The membranes are painted with dot and zig-zag designs in red and black pigment, and are each held in place with a wooden ring, the rings tied together with string. There is a circular hole in the side of the drum, in which has been placed the wooden beater [.2]. [JC [OPS Move] 7/2/2017]
