Long description
Drum with body carved from solid tree trunk, cylindrical, standing on three feet panel of carving in relief with human figure, crocodiles, tortoises etc.; painted red and black; membrane of raw hide braced with tie-tie cords. The membrane of the drum is loose and not secured to body. Body has been badly pest damaged but no signs of active infestation. However, the drum is too big and heavy to be placed in the freezer.
