- Child's moccasin.
- Long description
- Child's moccasin, with small flaps near the ankle and tie around the ankle. The flaps are decorated with different coloured zig-zags and a blue beaded border. The top of the foot is decorated with a similar quillwork decoration, with a white beaded border. [CW 25 11 97]

PRM 1997.19.28 child’s moccasin [Great Lakes c1800-50]
- Centre front puckered seam covered by 1 lane of quillwork, large quills, and white beadwork edging with unfurling frondlike design on either side.
- Cuffs: edged with blue/mauve beads (ordinary seed beads); 1 lane quillwork same large quills.
- Quillwork in red/orange, yellow, ?blue or green (very faded).
- Beads are strung on brown commercial thread; heel seam sewn with sinew.
- Crease clearly visible where moccasin has been flattened for a long time.
- This could also have been obtained by Mrs Prescott (see RDF) although it looks a few decades later.
