Woman's rectangular shawl
Long description
Woman's rectangular shawl or carrying cloth made of one complete textile. Warp faced plain weave with plain warp stripes in browns, red, orange and green and bands of two- and three-colour complementary-warp patterning mainly in red, white and black. Designs include birds and scrolls. Terminal area near one end. Tubular edging on all four selvages. Sheep's wool. Warp spin Z2S weft Z2S; warp count 32 epi (13/cm); weft count 16 ppi (7/cm).
