According to Thomas Myers, 1997 (Curator of Anthropology, University of Nebraska State Museum) this is the only collection of Huambisa pottery that he is aware of in any museum worldwide.
The Huambisa are a Jivaroan speaking group and a distinctive feature of their pots is that they normally have a slightly raised platform base.
