- Research and responses
This object has been attached to 1938.36.1211 by the collector in the field using string. This was done as both items are specimens of the same type of bark in different stages of the process of making barkcloth. [CK 16 09 1997]
Short part of collector's cine film shows the bark being removed from the tree and the process of making and decorating barkcloth. [CK 04 06 1997]
Note: Alomos village is the name used by the collector. This village may have moved, may no longer exist or the name could have subsequently changed. [CK 05 09 1997]
