Description
Brown horn spoon, S-shaped, with a plain pointed handle. [CAK 06/04/2009]
Long description
Brown horn spoon, S-shaped, with a plain pointed handle. The spoon is likely made from a single piece of mountain goat horn given the dark colour. The bowl and handle are both smooth. Where the handle joins the bowl, there is a carved ridge. The handle is curved and tapers towards the end. It measures 2 mm at its tip, and 14 mm where it joins the bowl. At its widest, the bowl measures 52mm, and the end measures 7 mm. There are two deep, irregular shaped holes in the bowl, which may be a natural feature of the horn. [CAK 06/04/2009]
