Description
Pellet bow, made from bamboo. [ASh [OPS move] 31/7/2017]
Long description
Pellet bow made from a carved bamboo shaft, which is notched at either end. In the centre of the bow is a carved wooden thumb-guard in a human shape, tightly bound to the stave with waxed fibre cord. There is a twisted double plant fibre cord attached to the bow, with a woven pocket in the centre to allow the pellet to be held. The two strings are kept apart with small wooden struts.
