Description
Wooden comb [.1] in a silk brocade case [.2].
Long description
The comb is highly polished and incised with the craftsman's seal on one side. The comb fits in a small brocade case lined with a deep purple silk textile. The comb and case are stored in a paper box with a pink chequered lid. Inside the box is a piece of fold paper with writing on one side and an image of the Jyusan-ya comb shop in Kyoto on the other. Also included in the box is a slip of paper with a picture of a Japanese woman in traditional dress
