Research and responses

Roger Williams University is in Nashville, Tennessee. According to a web article by Bobbie Lovett the University started in 1866 and was incorporated in 1927 with the Howe Institute in Memphis (LeMoyne-Owen College), finally closing in 1929. [http://ww2.tnstate.edu/library/digital/roger.htm]. Fisk University is also in, Nashville, Tennessee. According to the University's website the school began in 1866. [http://www.fisk.edu/about/history] . There is a small town called Nashville in Pennsylvania but it is more likely that Beatrice Blackwood was in Tennessee as both these Universities are historically black colleges. [MJD 25/03/2015]
