Description
Long narrow strip of cotton cloth
Long description
Long narrow strip of cotton cloth with double polychrome warp in shades of brown, yellow and pink, forming stripes. Complementary warp stripes in pink and white. A fringed band of crimson wool has been stitched to one edge; there is a brown, yellow and crimson tassel at each end. The textile is partially backed by small pieces of sheer cotton cloth, stitched on at the same time as the fringe. The short edges are hemmed: this is unusual.
