Three textile fragments [SM (Verve) 16/6/2016]
Long description
Three textile fragments: .1 Corner fragment of brown cotton plain weave with embroidered border. 2 selvages present. Embroidery in covering stem stitch in pink, blue, yellow and green camelid fibre, feline design. Camelid yarn Z2S. Cotton warp and weft Z2S, 13 warps and wefts per cm. .2 Fragment of brown cotton plain weave with embroidered border, probably from same garment as .1. One selvage present. Other details as .1. .3 Fragment of brown cotton plain weave with embroidered border, similar to .1-2 but probably from different garment as cotton textile is finer (16 warps and wefts per cm) and border does not have the same edging. One selvage present.
