Research and responses

Descr: These pots do not appear in early accounts and doubt has been raised as to their provenance. However, they do appear in a number of Museum Collections (e.g. Bishop Museum Hawaii). On showing this photo. In 1993 DZ was told that these pots are made in only one village. In this photo. It would appear that the pots are being displayed at an Agricultural Show or similar gathering. Probably at Gembu.
