Description
Main box for blackbird call whistle [2009.46.56 .1].
Long description
Blackbird call whistle [2009.46.56 .1] in original box [.2] with lid [2009.46.56 .3]. Part of a set entitled 'Flights of Fancy'. The box is made from grey paper and has a picture of a blackbird printed on the lid. The whistle inside is made from a carved piece of wood, still bearing bark on the exterior. There are printed instructions explaining how to use the whistle to good effect on the inside of the lid. The inside of the box is lined with shredded bits of brown paper. [FC 21/05/2010]
