Long description
Powder-horn of cow's horn, red leather top and bottom raised into bands. From Conservation Card by Birgitte Speake September 2003 - Bands of seven leather rims. 4 reddish/brown, 3 coloured the same as the backing with a section of exposed horn separating the two ends. For plaited leather sling and leather cover, not currently located, see [1884.28.4 .2 - .3]. [MJD 26/1/2009]
