Description
Sword wakizashi. For lacquered sheath see [1929.17.2 .2] and for small knife see [1929.17.2 .3]. [SM 23/11/2007]
Long description
Sword wakizashi, with a single edged, slightly curved blade. The hilt is bound with stingray skin and black silk plaited textile. Bound into the hilt are two cast decorations -menuki. Both ends of the hilt are decorated with floral designs inlaid in gold. The tsuba is decorated with a scene involving three figures.
