According to the 1901 census his fuller name was Frederick J. Brown, he was born in Prestbury, Cheshire and was then aged 52, living in Steeple Aston and a clergyman in the Church of England [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 05/01/2007]
