Description
Small painted pottery bowl, mocowa. [JMC 21/12/2018]
Long description
Small painted pottery bowl, mocowa. The bowl has a flat circular base and flaring sides. The inside of the bowl is painted with black earth pigment (yana allpa) and cream earth pigment in geometric and line designs, with the rim painted black. The outside of the bowl is painted with a background of red clay pigment (puka allpa) and three large designs, each comprising a double chevron, painted with cream borders and black parallel lines within. The bowl has been glazed with tree resin (shilkiquello). [JMC 21/12/2018]
