1892.41.79.2One half of a mould for making candles. Made from wood. Roughly rectangular with two rounded corners, it tapers slightly. 1973.9.1.2Carriage candle. The candle is white in colour and cylindrical in shape with a wick extending from one end. It has been used and as a result the wick is blackened. Around the centre of the candle is a green label which reads 'CARRIAGE CANDLE' and 'RADIANT AND LONG BURNING'. 1892.41.79.3Beeswax candle. The wax is yellow in colour. The candle is moulded into the shape of an "astrological animal". The lower section of the candle is narrow and cylindrical, it expands into the shape of the animal, the top of the candle flares with the wick extending in the centre.
