Description
Box containing cut sections from two composite bows. [ASh [OPS move] 13/2/2018]
Long description
Composite bow sections, most likely that of Japanese and Chinese bows. The loose sections are oval, numbering 2 in total. Clearly visible are the layers of wood, animal horn and lacquered cane exteriors. Found alongside a contact photograph of the large cut section on a black background. Stored in a glass fronted metal box, which is embossed with 'JAHNCKE'S PATENT' on the shorter sides. [ASh [OPS move] 13/2/2018]
