- Long description
- Composite bow section, most likely that of a Japanese bow. The section consists of a length of the bow arm as well the central grip. The grip has been cut so that the upper section of wood is exposed, whereas the section at the flat end of the bow shows a layer of wood, animal horn and animal sinew. The bow has been backed with animal sinew, which is varnished brown and the grip is lacquered black and gold. [ASh [OPS move] 13/2/2018]
