- Long description
- Painted wooden spindle with whorl and yarn. Circular in section, with both ends tapering to a point. One of the tips is broken. The middle section of the spindle is painted with bands of white, red. yellow and black. There is a ceramic whorl threaded onto the spindle, grey with moulded and painted geometric patterns in red, white, yellow and black. Some of the paint on both the whorl and the spindle is missing. A section of brown yarn is wound around the spindle close to one end. [EH [OPS move] 11/10/2017]
